The Final Countdown!

Hello everyone…

I’m here to let you all know that I’m down to the final week of chemo! I’m actually sitting in the hospital receiving my medicine right now as I write this, wrapping things up. So as you read this, I’m done with day one and only have 4 chemo days left!

I am super excited to be down to the end and knowing it’s the final week gives me an extra push to keep going strong. Pray for me though because at the same time I am not excited about this at all and am trying hard to keep a good attitude through this final round.

I appreciate everyone who prayed for my mom to be able to come. She is here with me now. We had a good week together last week while I was healthy. I took her to lunch and showed her around town. She got to attend our staff prayer time at church and meet some of my friends I work with and she also got to meet my Oncologist, dr. Wells.

She will be with me through this week, when I ring the bell Friday to signify the end of chemo, and over the weekend when I’m typically sick.
Also she came to church with me yesterday and we managed to sneak in a mother/son selfie

I wanted to take a moment to share two more things with you…

1. #stallionstrong tshirts

My best friend and old college roommate Matt who I work with, decided to make some tshirts in support of my treatments. They are to remember to pray for me when you wear them and the money raised by selling them is to help with medical expenses.
Some of you have asked about them and how you can get them.. The best thing to do if you want one is to send a Facebook message to Lauren Densky (Matt’s wife) or Matt Densky with your desired number of shirts, size, and address. The shirts costs $20 and if you want it shipped out of SC you can decide to give a few extra dollars for shipping costs, but you don’t have to.

***For my New York friends, I’ve set up with a buddy of mine to ship shirts to him and he will deliver them to you so that we don’t have to ship them all individually. So if you are on Long Island and from or near Island Christian Church, you can simply add ICC in your message to Lauren and she will put them in the group shipment.

The next batch of shirts will be ordered next Monday so the deadline to put your request in is July 24th at 12am
Here is a look at the shirt design, along with Matt’s original post about his decision to do this

2. Finally I’m asking for everyone to join with me in prayer THIS weekend.

Typically I’ve found to be at my lowest point of health the Saturday – Monday after treatments. So I am looking for strong prayers on Saturday the 23rd, Sunday the 24th and Monday the 25th.

Join with me especially those days to pray that I would recover quickly and without being too sick those days.

I have been so blessed by all of you who have reached out and have been praying. I have always believed in the power of prayer but have been blessed to also feel it, from the receiving end this time. It’s been amazing and encouraging… Thank you.

As I wrap up my journey with chemo therapy I will keep you posted on how things progress. I have a CT scan in early August to determine if everything is gone or if I will need radiation, that too is a great thing to be praying for.

Thanks so much everyone…
 Many blessings to you all

Daniel “stallion” Stevanus
